Entrepreneur and investor Ira Smolev, a pioneer in the computer industry with expertise in print and television marketing and advertising, has managed accounts for and liaised with many major corporations over the years, including Eastern Air Lines; BET Interactive, LLC; CBS Records, and Ford Motor Company and its 3,000 American dealerships. In addition, Ira Smolev founded and operated a successful media and marketing firm, buying up blocks of print and airtime on cable television, selling as many slots as possible to a variety of clients, and then utilizing the remainder to run his own advertising for housewares, jewelry, and cosmetics.

Prior to focusing on investing in Internet, product development, importing, and real estate businesses, Ira Smolev held several key positions that took advantage of his expertise. For 17 years, he ran his media and marketing company, purchasing and selling advertising in freestanding print inserts and on such cable networks as Lifetime and the Discovery Channel. Smolev sold the firm in 1991. His program became the standard for all customers replacing the 1400 with the 360. Ira Smolev also acted as Vice President of Commercial Applications for software company Informatics, Inc.; and as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Automated Marketing Systems, Inc., a database marketing firm.
